How to Launch?
You’ve created a real catapult! Now it’s time to test it:
1. Wind the catapult drum. Do you hear the “click click click” sound? That means you’re storing the energy needed for the launch!
2. Load the projectile. Place the ball in the launching basket.
3. Fire: When you’re ready, press the release lever. And… there it goes! Your projectile has launched!
What’s Next?
You’ve built a real catapult! Now it’s time to defend the library from water monsters trying to disrupt its construction. This mission is where your catapult will truly shine!
Your task: hit the targets to defeat the water monsters.
Do you have the accuracy to drive the monsters away and save the library?
Test Trajectories
Try launching the ball from the catapult at different angles and observe how the trajectory changes. When does the ball go higher? When does it travel farther?
Hit the Targets
Test your accuracy by using the included targets. Start by hitting the largest target with the catapult placed close to it. Then, move on to smaller targets and position the catapult farther away. Practice, and soon you’ll be a master marksman!
Competitions
Invite your friends to an accuracy challenge! See who can knock down the most targets or hit a target from the farthest distance.
Create Your Own Targets
You don’t have to stick to the included targets! Use paper cups, upright markers, or bottles as targets. Experiment with different sizes and weights and master your catapult skills!
Bonus: Customize Your Catapult
Make your catapult truly unique—paint, decorate, and design it with your favorite colors, patterns, or symbols that reflect your imagination.
