The siphon effect: understand how your garden works!

Your little oasis waters the plants on its own thanks to a very interesting phenomenon—the siphon effect. Let’s get to know it!

The siphon effect is a process where liquid flows upward through a tube on its own, using only gravity and atmospheric pressure. This happens when a continuous stream of liquid is pushed through the tube from a higher point downwards.

How Your Little Oasis Works

1. Water Reservoir: In your oasis, water is stored in a container placed at the top of the structure.

2. Connecting Tube: This tube connects the water reservoir to the plant pots. When it’s filled with water, the siphon effect can occur.

3. Siphon Effect: Thanks to gravity, water is pulled through the tube from the reservoir into the pots, watering the plants.
